Nothing special here, I’m just eating a bit of crow.  Awhile back I was invited to use and review a web service called PM Tracker.  I wasn’t feeling the best at the time but did respond saying that I’d give it a once over and post my thoughts here.

Unfortunately I dropped the ball and forgot about it, so I think that it’s only fair that I offer a posted apology and I want to drop a link to the service here.

To quote them:

PM Tracker is an online project management tool used for tracking team progress in executing a project. Tasks can be shared between team mbers and the product manager can monitor the completion percentage of a project/schedule from a single point. As the individual team members update the task assigned to them the overall percentage of completion status gets updated which can be monitored by the project manager.

PM Tracker is a dynamic service. When more people use the service all of the team with the highest usage records will be migrated automatically to a new server/database. This gets expanded based on the usage and this migration is not manual, its automatic.

Sorry folks, I was a bit more out of it than I thought.

It looks like a project management version of Gmail (UI).

I signed up and added 2 users to my team and managed to assign tasks shared between them. It’s really a new trend in project management, as my team members updates their task completion status I can monitor the percentage of schedule completion.

But while signing up, service was a bit slower and later its fine.

    Hello folks,

It’s good to read some feedback on the service.

I logged in this morning to give it a quick look and it does remind me a bit of GMail’s interface. Of course, I’m not complaining.

Willy, it sounds from your comment to be a useful tool for a team. Nice to know. From my quick glance over its features, it does appear to be group-friendly.
