Unexpected Down Time
Shadows In Motion experienced some unexpected down time yesterday. My host decided to move our web sites to another - I can only imagine better - server. Down time was not supposed to occur but they fessed up to it and apologized for the outtage. Since down time is rarely ever experienced on my host I am perfectly happy with letting this small incident slide.
Still, I offer what apologies I can to my visitors for these recent technical hiccups. Their moving of my web site (and their other customer’s web sites) is quite possibly the result of the major blunder that the “techs” at the datacenter pulled a few days ago. It’s a blunder that has cost my host what must be many thousands of dollars. It’s so bad, in fact, that the lead guy at my host is flying to the data center to talk to them about the issue personally. If only we could be a fly on the wall! ;D
Anyway, it’s been a rough few days.
Since Shadows In Motion is moving to another machine it would be silly of me to post any significant content to the blog. However, yesterday I accepted something that’s been a long time coming and is quite a bit more on-topic with this blog. Perhaps the extra time is a blessing so that I can let my thoughts sink in a bit more. I tend to be fairly dense-headed that way. 
So, again, my apologies for the issues lately and the posts regarding them. It would simply be irresponsible of me to not mention something about them when I can.
